How to Install Sublime Text editor 3 on Ubuntu 14.04

Sublime text editor is one of the favorite text editor among programmers and developers. It is a cross platform software that can be install on Windows , Mac and Linux. Sublime available in deb and tarball formats. .deb installer is similar to .exe file on Windows. Some time these deb packages requires dependency files,and you need to download it manually ( if it require) and need to update manually each time. This PPA hosted by famous Linux blog, they create a PPA for sublime text editor ( They also provide Oracle Java PPAs). You can install Sublime text editor 3 on you computer using these simple commands.

1. Open terminal and Enter following command ( add repository)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/sublime-text-3

2. Update repository

sudo apt-get update 

3. Install Sublime Text editor 3

sudo apt-get install sublime-text-installer

Close terminal and search sublime text editor.
